Atmosphere

More than the results, the difficulty the Earthquakes have to fill the 10,000 seats at Buck Shaw is worrying. Today, only 9,046 fans came to Santa Clara. The latest resuts and the time of the game (12 noon) probably didn't help. However, the two supporters' groups, the Casbah and the Ultras, if they are struggling to grow in numbers, have reached a great level of intensity in their support: Here is a short video of the Ultras singing right after the game:

Frank Yallop:

- On the 3 new players' performance:

- On replacing Denton by Guerrero at half time:

- On the possibility of adding other players to his squad:

Darren Hukerby:

- On the result:

- On his adaptation to the team:

Juan Carlos Osorio (NY Head Coach):

- On the result:

- On the possibility of adding other players to his squad:

Luke Sassano (NY midfielder):

Luke Sassano played for the San Jose Frogs (where his brother is still playing) last year and was excited to return in the Bay Area. He's had a great season, playing 14 games and starting 9 with the New York Red Bulls. He didn't play today but he kindly accepted to come back from the bus where he went quickly after the game to answer our questions (unfortunately, because of a technical incident, we can't upload the audio file of the interview):

- Luke, Tha Bay Soccer has been following the Frogs' season that just ended and I was wondering if you had the opportunity to follow their results. "Yes, I did follow their results. They finished 4th or 5th and I even was in LA when they played the Seahorses so I went to the game!"

- Isn't it too frustrating to come back here and watch the game from the bench? "It is a little frustrating, but it's the coach's decision. Our system changes from match to match and depending on that I play or not."

- You don't have to complain about your playing time so far, did you expect to play so much in the first team right away? "Not really, but that's what I'm working for, I was ready for that."
